My New Roomie

So I was talking to my potential new roomie yesterday. I got the feeling she must really want me & my husband to move in because she offered to help us with moving expenses. It went down like this. I was saying that I'm getting plans underway for the move. Thinking about using that PODS service... You load a container, they move it. We pay. So el potential roomie nueva offers to help with the moving expenses. I'm like Mom, no, I can handle that. My mind is saying woooo, but my mouth is saying no. So here's the thing. Im turning 40 in 2 weeks. If I need my parents help to move, well I'll still say no. (I'm sure I'm gonna need to cash in that chit later.) Luckily I don't. Also, if you're like, "WHAT? YOURE TURNING FORTY?" Well that's the same thing I'm asking myself.

ALL GROWN UP OR STILL GROWING

I've moved residences countless times in my life. That is not an understatement. The last time I moved to a different state was in 2002 when my pup Slick and I jumped on a plane to Atlanta with nothing but the fur on our backs. I've since acquired a few possessions, which 1) makes me feel like an adult, and 2) makes this move a bit more stressful than those prior. This led me to a beautiful thought: the greatest "possession" I've picked up in Georgia is my husband Zac. He's similar to Slick in many ways...like his furry back for instance. But I think Zac will be much more helpful when it comes to the Big Move. If he's not, well I'll leave that for a later blog. And if you are thinking that the word possession is a bit inappropriate, I'd respond, "I own that bitches."

I AM MORE THAN JUST A ONE LINER

Today I was asked by a friend of mine (I'll leave his name out as his disinterest was apparent) what my blog was about. I said something to the effect that it was simply a verbal journey about my move back to Maryland to take care of my parents. I hope I'll do more than that of course. But seriously, put yourself in my position for a sec. Scary, huh? Well you don't know my parents YET. Anyhow, he said well my blog would just be a one liner: I'm moving back to Maryland. This just goes to show, I've already blogged more than one line just now. I'm warming up.

My Brother Loves Me

PS, I have noticed that there are a lot of haters (My lil' brother Francis) and also a lot of fancy blogs (No one cares that you decided you love coffee) But... I will prevail (I hope)

Am I movin' up?

I'M NEW AT BLOGGING, I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY I'M IN ALL CAPS. OH I was in all caps.  Slick and I, that's my puppy, who by the way is almost twelve (no big deal, I'll be forty next month) decided that being drunk was the way to start a successful blog. Also, it will probably be the only way for me.  Here goes:

I am a new wife who broke the news to my new handsome husband that we are moving in with my parents, about 400 miles away in ye old capital of Washington, DC.  Yay newlyweds!
